I grew up on a farm in rural Illinois. As a youth, I struggled with social anxiety, so making friends was difficult for me. However, I managed to build a small "gang" and we entertained ourselves through dancing and self defense training.

As an adult, I studied psychology in college and raised two amazing children. Not only did I accomplish these tasks alone, but with a disability, as well. I hope to inspire others to never give up. Though life is sometimes difficult, it's never impossible.
